Stardust

Ustrasana - Camel Pose

Reinvent yourself again and again and again (on the mat and then off)…

Have yourself a French-inspired little weekend.

While away the hours

Returning from a 40 day hiatus, I had 3 (mostly) uninterrupted hours to reflect.

While in LIMBO - (and perchance even alone,) on a long drive, airplane ride or other commute - we are proffered an ideal time for introspection and reflection; if we don’t kill the opportunity with distractionπŸ“±!

Tried and True

Utkata Konasana - Goddess with side stretch

LOST ?? Well, it’s no doubt when the outside influences are more rampant than ever and now inside our homes (phones). FIND yourself by returning to PERSONAL CLASSICS - YOUR tried and trues. Similar to the influencers you are compelled towards, who present their own (one or two) areas of mastery.

Less zealous

Taking NOTES from the MEN (who have fewer options and less zealous marketing).

1. Pockets! - Perhaps even forgo a purse. 😱

2. Dresses and skirts (while they so contentedly stick with pants and shorts).

3. Fewer colors.

4. SMALLER CLOSETS.

5. Denim.

Beacon

Light bright beacon of artistic imagination.

I have leaned heavily into the Mother role - which has physically manifested family-friendly, practical, durable, colorful, grounding and compounding clothes, foods and shelters. But there is a lighter, brighter, ASCETIC aspect of myself I’m turning more and more towards (without eschewing my foremost family-first ethos).

Fairytale

What would a Waldorf Fairy do??

Looking to Rudolph STEINER (WALDORF Education) for deeper meaning - for ESSENCE and SIGNIFICANCE (the most PROFOUND I have ever found!) - in consideration, selection and implementation of desired surface changes (food, clothing, shelter).

My real-life fairie.

not by faith alone

Eka Pada Rajakapotasana - One Legged King Pigeon Pose

Some days (poses!) don’t go as planned. Have unconditional trust in the divine — have FAITH. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1). Faith must be demonstrated and will be tested.

Like riding a bike

While reviewing - and delighting in! - past posts, my only wish is that I had continued through the last decade. I yearn to read my musings during such a high growth phase. And thus is born is the impulsion to take it up anon.

Call me a Dreamer

When visions of sugar plums - fashion and fun! - dance in your head.

A quick skip to San Diego, California after a decade away.

LISTENING - the lost art of truly listening is a rare skill and therefore a precious commodity. It takes practice. The word LISTEN is rooted in slava “splendor, honor,” and kleos “make famous”; behold - such considerate gifts to give your fellow orator!

flower child

Daisy: fresh, energetic, day's eye (the sun), darling.
Perennial; early Summer - early Autumn.

Aster, Marigold, Lily, Violet, Lavender, Sunflower, Bluebell, Daisy, Rose, Zinnia, Magnolia, Azalea, Chrysanthemum, Daphne, Jasmine, Ivy, Marguerite, Wisteria, Camellia ...

Names, decoration, motivation, muse, whim, notion, vision, introspection --- Look to Goddess Mother Nature's creations and you shall find it. When fancying inspiration there is no thing better suited than this natural phenomena. Flowers. Pure perfection. Heaven.

Violet, Aster, Marigold

(The baby has been channeling Daisy lately with her golden face and white hair; not to mention she often has bugs - even bees! - landing on her tresses, mistaking her for flora !!)

power of less

How to Start:
Simplicity Parenting
by, Kim John Payne, M. Ed., with Lisa M. Ross

Kids Toys:
1. Reduce by one-half.
2. And then by one-half again.
3. Donate.
note: Favorite, most-loved toys always stay.
note: this is done without bΓ©bΓ©.
4. Put keepers into moveable cute baskets and bins.
5. A few books out and accessible - the rest tucked away.
6. Only age-appropriate items allowed around.
Clothing too!

6. Do it TODAY during nap.
or TONIGHT after bed.
